Eleanor, or "Ellie" as we have been calling her, was born on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 8:42 am. She was 7 lbs 1.8 oz and 21 inches long. She is beautiful and LOVES to eat, and consequently poop! Typically babies lose weight the 1st couple of days. Ellie was 6 lbs 8 oz on Wednesday and this morning she was back up to 7 lbs 7 oz! Yep, that's basically a pound gained in 24 hours!
We all are doing wonderfully. When we checked in on Tues, they said we would most likely go home on Friday. On Wednesday, when I was up at 7 am asking when I could shower and get moving, they said, "wow, maybe you can go home Thursday." They sent us home midday today. We could have stayed longer if I thought I would get more rest in the hospital, but those darn beds are so uncomfortable I couldn't sleep there.
Lloyd and Lilly are absolutely in love with her. They want to just hold and kiss and caress her. So far, we have had no real jealousy issues. Now if we could get them to stop calling her "Baby Duck!"

Hello,
this might be a bit creepy, but i found this blog whilst searching my own name, which is Anne Ruesink. :) I'm from the Netherlands and I am surprised I found someone in the US with my name.. Wow! If you don't mind me asking, do you have any dutch family or so?
