Memorial Day Fun

We had a great Memorial Day. The parade, however, gets a little smaller every year. This year's lasted about 5 minutes. The kids were very excited to get candy thrown at them from the parade entrants. But when the parade was done we had 2 pieces, neither of which they could eat. So we took a trip to the store. Atleast we have the Water Festival parade to look forward to in about 3 weeks.

The weather was beautiful. No clouds, 80 degrees, slight breeze....it could not have been better! We spent the day outside playing in the hose and pool. (See photos below....after watching them try to swim in the puddle on the driveway, we had to get the pool out of the shed! It was quite pathetic.)

Burch made the most amazing ribs we have had in a long time. We had bomb pops and ice cream. It was a great day all around.
